Processed works with silicone as the main raw material are called silicone products. Silica gel is a porous material of different particle sizes that is suitably dehydrated from silicic acid gels. With an open porous structure, it can adsorb many substances and is a good desiccant, adsorbent and catalyst carrier. Adsorption of silica gel is mainly physical adsorption, which can be regenerated and used repeatedly. The acid is added to a solution of an alkali metal silicate (e.g., sodium silicate) to acidify it, and then a certain amount of electrolyte is added for stirring to generate a silicate gel; or in a more concentrated sodium silicate solution, an acid or Ammonium salts also produce silicate gels. The silicic acid gel is allowed to stand for several hours to be aged, and then the soluble salts are washed away with hot water, dried at 60-70°C and activated at about 300°C to obtain silica gel. The silicic acid gel is soaked in a solution of cobalt chloride and then dried and activated to obtain a color-changing silica gel. Food grade silica gel is non-toxic and tasteless, insoluble in water and any solvent. It is a highly active green product. Food grade silica gel has inherent thermal stability (-40°C-230°C). It is suitable for different occasions. The product has a good softness to meet different needs.
