Silicone tube as a semi-finished product of many export products, it is precisely because the silica gel raw material is environmentally friendly non-toxic, so more and more silicone tubes replace many non-environmentally friendly materials.
According to the latest data from the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association, in the first quarter of 2004, China's export of electromechanical products accounted for 55% of China's exports. The EU has become China's major export market for electromechanical products. Due to the backwardness of Chinese manufacturers' environmental protection concepts and technological standards, the RoHS Directive has caused nearly US$27 billion of Chinese mechanical and electrical products to face EU environmental protection barriers.
The Chinese government has been paying close attention and researching countermeasures. The State Council has specifically instructed the Ministry of Information Industry to be responsible for the research and response to the EU environmental directives. The "Administrative Measures on Pollution Prevention and Control of Electronic Information Products" formulated by the Ministry of Information Industry under the "Cleaner Production Promotion Law" and "Law on Solid Waste Pollution Prevention and Control" and other related regulations have been completed and will be implemented on January 1, 2005.
The “Administrative Measures on the Prevention and Control of Pollution Caused by Electronic Information Products” stipulates that starting from July 1, 2006, electronic information products listed in the Catalog of Key Pollution Prevention and Control of Electronic Information Products must not contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and polymeric bromination. Biphenyl ether and polymeric brominated biphenyls and other toxic and hazardous substances.
For a period of time before July 1, 2006, the Chinese government asked manufacturers of electronic information products to implement measures to reduce the production of toxic and hazardous substances and actively seek alternatives.
At the same time, an organization named “Working Group for the Prevention and Control of Pollution Caused by Electronic Information Products” has also started preparations for its establishment. Its main task is to research and establish pollution prevention and control standards for electronic information products in line with China’s national conditions, and to prevent and control pollution of electronic information products. Related standards research and development work, in particular, accelerate the development of basic standards for urgently needed materials, processes, test methods, and experimental methods.
