Silica gel desiccant is a highly active adsorbent material. It is usually reacted with sodium silicate and sulfuric acid, and is obtained through a series of post-treatment processes such as aging and soaking. Silica is an amorphous material, its chemical formula is mSiO2. nH2o. It is insoluble in water and any solvent, non-toxic and odorless, chemically stable, and does not react with any substance other than strong alkali and hydrofluoric acid. The chemical composition and physical structure of silica gel determine that it has many other similar materials that are difficult to replace. Silica gel desiccant has high adsorption performance, good thermal stability, chemical stability, and high mechanical strength.
The commonly used desiccant silicone has three colors: transparent, blue or orange. Among them, blue and orange silica gel can play a role in the display. The blue plastic contains a small amount of cobalt chloride, which changes from blue to red after absorbing moisture, and orange plastic becomes dark green after absorbing moisture.
