Silicone Safety Performance

- Mar 12, 2018-

The main component of silica gel is silica, chemically stable and does not burn. Silica gel is an amorphous silica, and the dust content in the workshop should be controlled to be no more than 10 mg/m3. Exhaust air should be strengthened and masks should be worn during operation. Silica gel has a strong adsorption capacity and can have a dry effect on human skin. Therefore, work clothes should be worn during operation. If silicone gets into your eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention as soon as possible. Blue silica gel contains a small amount of cobalt chloride and is toxic. It should be avoided in contact with food and inhalation. If a poisoning occurs, it should be immediately treated with a doctor. In the course of use, the adsorption capacity of the silica gel is reduced due to the adsorption of water vapor or other organic substances in the medium, and it can be reused after regeneration.
