Use A Large Knife And Fork To Lose Weight

  The latest survey found that the best way to avoid eating too much in the restaurant is to have a bigger knife and fork. A survey published on the US Consumer Research magazine website on the 16th stated that people who use large knives and forks eat less than those who use small knives and forks when they go out to the restaurant.

  Researchers from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA, provided customers of the experiment with two sets of knife and fork of different sizes, and found that customers using large cutlery had fewer meals than customers using small cutlery.

  Researchers believe that the reason for this difference is that it takes time for satiety to travel from the stomach to the brain. When the brain receives a signal of satiety, the stomach is usually overfull. The bigger the knife and fork, the deeper the marks left on the food. This visual effect can make the brain think that it has consumed enough food to reduce the occurrence of excessive eating.
